Biography

1990年東京⼤学⼤学院⼯学系研究科電気⼯学専攻博⼠課程終了。⼯学博⼠。同年より筑波⼤学電⼦・情報⼯学系助⼿、講師、助教授を経て1996年東京⼤学先端科学技術研究センター助教授、2010年より東京⼤学⼤学院情報理⼯学系研究科教授。2014年より2017年まで東京⼤学情報基盤センター⻑を兼務。2018年より総長特任補佐、2019年より情報セキュリティ教育研究センター長をそれぞれ兼務。ハイパフォーマンスコンピューティング、省電⼒コンピューティング、低消費電⼒VLSIシステムを中心に研究。情報処理学会フェロー。

SINET and Data/AI Exploitation: Towards Strategic Data Exploitation

Description

The Science Information Network (SINET) is an high-bandwidth Japanese academic backbone network. Currently, the plan of "Data Exploitation Platform for Innovative Society", which makes use of SINET and high-performance computing infrastructure, is now put forward. In this seminar, its objective and advanced examples are introduced.
Furthermore, its potential for value co-creation across businesses is discussed.
