Yoshiyuki Kobayashi

Senior Machine Learning Researcher, Sony Corporation

Biography

Y.Kobayashi joined Sony in 1999. He started R&D on machine learning technology in 2003, and developed music analysis algorithm "12 notes analysis", and "ELFE", a technology to automatically generate recognition algorithm. Recently, he is mostly working on Neural Network Console and the development of relevant technologies and software, while promoting machine learning and discovering new applications.

Description

Improvement of development efficiency, and human resource training are urgent challenges in AI area which is rapidly spreading applications and use case due to its high performance and versatility. In this session, we introduce our latest Deep Learning development environment "Neural Network Libraries / Console" which has realized high development efficiency and more than 1000 Deep Learning talents training. And we also introduce our latest distributed training technology which can complete ImageNet/ResNet-50 training within 122 seconds, which was previously consuming about 4 days  by single GPU.
