Biography

- Jointed the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 1985 - Launched the Internet Business in Japan and involved in the overseas network building during the early stage of Internet in the 90's - Involved in the digitalization of healthcare information and took charge of establishing the IT Headquarters in METI under the Koizumi administration - Took charge of METI's information policy under the administration of the Democratic Party, took charge of the third pillar of Abenomics in the Cabinet in the beginning of Abe administration, and launched the overall structural reform taking into account rapid development of digitalization - After organizing negotiations on EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreements including personal information protection and data flow policies, took charge of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy at the Cabinet Office - Currently promoting Society 5.0, AI Strategy, Smart City Platform, Cyber Physical R&D including the security, etc.
